vital information for the plugin’s built in mailer to be able to send emails to you and for your website users to be able to contact you.

Please complete the following steps and you will be done

  • If you are not in the plugin’s admin page, go to ‘Tools’, click ‘Multi Purpose Mail Form’ to open the plugin’s administration.
    • Enter your email address – it will be used by the plugin’s built in mailer to send the information and messages posted by your users via your website or blog.
    • Enter your phone number – it will be displayed on your website above the form created by the MPMF wordpress plugin to give your site’s visitors an option to call you directly if they need to.
    • Click ‘Update Options’ and your email address and phone number will be saved into the plugin’s settings database and will always be displayed in their respective text boxes even if you navigate away and come back to the plugin’s admin page
  • Finally, to put the plugin into real use, copy and paste or type [ mpmf]
anywhere in your contact page or any other page where you want the form displayed.
Save your page and preview it in your browser to see how the form looks on your website’s theme

    • Note: [ mpmf] should be copied or typed in as is including the square brackets. That is everything including the double quotes; [ mpmf] , if not typed as it is, the form will not be displayed
  • To use the subscription form displayed on the plugin’s admin page copy and paste or type in [ subscribe] to display the subscription form. This wordpress plugin sends all data submitted via your website or blog to your email address.
  • Note:The styles applied to this plugin are for a basic layout and look intended to suite most wordpress themes, it simply inherits most of your theme’s styles. Thus, for each different wordpress theme, the form will look different but more or less similar to the theme on which it is displayed. This means you may change your site’s theme at anytime,
you won’t need to change any styles for the MPMF plugin unless you have manually changed its styles after installation.

  1. Thanks. love this plugin

  2. I love your plugin but was wondering if there is any way to make any fields required when creating a custom form.

  3. mahlamusa:

    Hello Rebecca

The plugin has already defined all custom form fields as required, its just that when the visitor submits the form, it appears that the form inputs are not validated, but this happens at the server and the visitor will be notified by a message at the top of the form about the required fields that s/he left blank.

At the moment, there is no way to make a custom form field optional.

  4. Is the a way to redirect the user to a thank you page after he submits the form?

  5. Is it possible to translate those two buttons (reset / submit) into another language?

  6. Is there a way to add captcha security to the mpmf form? See “Submit Event” under Calendar. Thanks

  7. Excellent plugin, but with the selec/listbox field, when someone tries to submit the form, it always comes up with:

Form not Submitted. Please do the following.

Please type something for ‘Are you coming?’

Is there a step I’m missing? Thanks

  8. I’ve installed and activated the plugin but am not able to find where to input my email, phone number, etc. Doesn’t show up in the Tools area….

  9. Nevermind about my previous comment. I found it….

Next question: Is there a way to use PayPal with forms developed with this plugin?

  10. I am trying to use the Multi Purpose Mail Form plugin, but with a custom theme. The form works ok, but the text and input fields are too small.. How can I change the size? I have tried to edit my styles.css file, but have not found which option actually affects the MPMF form size.

See the web page here, and you will see my webpage here (link removed due to some reasons)
